Episode 7

This isn't your average vegeZe podcast! We let Maz the Gob loose at the Animal Aid Christmas Without Cruelty fayre & he went about terrorising the poor folk at the fayre. On his travels he got to ask the questions people wanted to know:
"What does the ALF SG do?"
"Do hunt saboteurs ever speak?"
"How do you insult SHAC?!?"
"What does CAPS actually stand for?"
...& many more.
If you haven't had the privilege of conversing with "Le Gob" in person, now's your chance to listen to the (nearly) unedited ramblings of the man himself as he gets to grips with what it means to be at a fayre full of hungry vegans!

Some groups Maz talked to that you might want to check out:
Animal Aid
ALF SG
SHAC
SPEAK
Beanies
Viva!
The fox project
CAFT
CAPS
SARC
LACS
APA
Vegan Society
I am natural cosmetics
Animals at risk shelter
Humane research trust
Monkey Sanctuary
Animals Asia
International primate protection league
Orangutan foundation
Vegetarian shoes
Vegan Store
HSA
Vegan Bodybuilding
Lupine Adventure
Plamil
Vegan Village
Vegan organic network
Chunkies
Sea Shepherd

They had to put up with Maz, so it's only fair you go & check them out :-)

Episode 6

In episode 6 we talk to Tony from Greyhound Action about the 1,000's of dogs that die & suffer every year within the greyhound industry & what you can do to help end this cruel business.

I actually used a couple of the tamer pictures to highlight the plight of the greyhounds as I'm a wuss, if you want to find out all the gory details check out Greyhound Action for full details.

If you feel you could look after a greyhound again contact Greyhound Action & they'll let you know how to do & while you're there give them a few quid (dollars, yen, or whatever your currency happens to be) as everything goes straight towards helping them end this evil business!

Continuing the theme Maz's rant is all about the evils of racing animals & also a mini rant calling for more unity within the animal rights movement
As well as news & events.
Hopefully this episode is all ok as I didn't have much time to listen to it through this week (I blame Maz!) & we have 'special music' put together by K in a fit of electro-80's cheese (or should I say 'sheese' - the tasty vegan cheese alternative!).

Hmm, I know I've forgotten to put up a couple of things I said I would, but I can't remember what they were. If you hear them on the podcast, but can't see them up here either email us or write a comment below & I'll put up any missing links.

Episode 5

In this episode we were lucky enough to get to chat to vegan contortionist Rubber Ritchie about his life as a crazy flexible guy, bass player & heart throb to millions

We also covered such diverse topic as conspiracy theories (he wouldn't talk about the idea that lizard people were invading the earth disguised as humans...I wonder why?)

...& the best places to eat in London

So if you're after a contortionist or a bass player then pop along to his website here & drop him a line

Also in today's show we have a Novartis demo update. We cover a bit about the day & how the VegeZe crew got our very own toilet police escort

Here they are, could you wish for a better toilet escort service :-)

We also cover how the demo went

& Maz got time to get in an on the spot report & interview.

As it was Halloween people got chance to dress up, with blood covered lab coats & cat masks being a particular favourite

If you want to get involved in the campaign against HLS then pop along to their website here & get involved

On the boycotts section if you want to get involved in the Iams boycott then contact Uncaged campaigns

We are trying out a new player, so if you look to the right of the page, if you're not downloading this podcast, then you can listen online to any episode right there.

We also have the amazing Juliet Gellatley founder of Viva! in for a chat about other animal issues, why you should go vegan, what you can do locally & why she likes big vegan sausages!

Juliet (with friend) fabulous founder of Viva!

The tiny country of Palau (pronounced: pal-ow) has created a large shark sanctuary around their republic, it's around the size of France & will hopefully keep sharks a bit safer from human predation.

Michael Vick, convicted of running a dog fighting ring is to star in a new 'docu-series'. It will be all about his return to the NFL & trying to re-build his shattered reputation.

Alicia Silverstone has a new vegan lifestyle book coming out called "The kind life".

Herbal Essences-Despite widespread revulsion at animal testing of shampoos, Herbal Essences have massacred more than a thousand pregnant animals and their offspring to test a common chemical ingredient already known to be safe to humans...

L’Oréal's quest for expanding markets and bigger profits lead them to develop new ingredients which means they still use animal testing for all new products even though they state that they 'voluntarily stopped animal testing on its entire range of cosmetic products in 1989.'
