Herbal Essences-Despite widespread revulsion at animal testing of shampoos, Herbal Essences have massacred more than a thousand pregnant animals and their offspring to test a common chemical ingredient already known to be safe to humans...

L’Oréal's quest for expanding markets and bigger profits lead them to develop new ingredients which means they still use animal testing for all new products even though they state that they 'voluntarily stopped animal testing on its entire range of cosmetic products in 1989.'
