Episode 11

So here we are at episode number 11. Again we're a little bit late, but I was finishing my final essay to (hopefully) become a qualified Clinical Nutritionist & Mr Maz was recovering from our back to back demo exploits. Hence the podcast is a little bit delayed.
First of all we went to World day for lab animals & met quite a few lovely people including:

ALF SG - these people are the lot that make sure our prisoners are looked after & aren't forgotten by everyone when they go inside for saving an animal from the hands of the abusers, so go & support them.

NAVS - who actually started the World Day marches back in the 20th Century.

SPEAK - who are always working hard to help the animals suffering in the labs in Oxford

Friends sanctuary - who rescue many animals from their horrible lives down on the farm & let them live out their natural life span in a lovely place free from fear

Rubber Ritchie - the most flexible vegan on planet earth, if you want to see how much a person can bend check him out!

After the march we made out way to Beatroot café for some well earned food. So of course Maz took some time to interview the staff.

The food was awesome-& as you'll hear it was my first time there. I was impressed!

The day after our animals rights adventure we were off on an anti-fascist adventure when the nasty people came for a march through our town. Maz was amazingly brave slipping in amongst the idiots & getting a load of information about their plans & learnt just how thick they truly are! Then we guarded the Cowley club from an expected attack with Vince the sab driver & all round fab dude, Scrapper (watch her or she'll have ya!) & Rachel who'd put a spell on you if you even looked at the club the wrong way. After a couple of attempts by the fascists to get in (one round the back & the other across the roof tops!) we called it a night on that one.

Next up was our election day stake-out. Listening to Brian May on the internet we decided to take his advice & hit the polling station to make sure everyone knew about the Tories brainwave to bring back fox hunting (another clever bunch!). After Maz explained to the Labour party person there that you could infact say what you liked outside a polling station (thank you BBC website for putting that up so we could show the confused woman that there still are some freedoms in the UK!), we explained to the people coming to vote all about silly ideas the Tories had (& as it turned out the green party won here in Brighton), so we felt it was time well spent, as the women who got in is anti-hunt & sympathetic to animal causes.

So all in all a busy couple of weeks for the vegeZe crew.
